The physicians assist the organization voluntarily, in their free time, and are an important part of its activities. They offer counsel regarding the dilemmas facing heart patients. Professor Elad Maor

Prof. Elad Maor was born in Ramat Gan and lives in Tel Aviv. He is a graduate of Ben Gurion University in the Negev and holds a PhD. in biophysics from the University of California at Berkley.

Prof. Maor is a cardiologist and angioplasty specialist. He specializes in internal medicine and cardiology and Sheba Hospital, is a graduate of a peer internship program in invasive cardiology at the Mayo Clinic in Minnesota. Prof. Maor is a fellow of  the standard track at Tel Aviv University and works as a senior physician at the angioplasty department of Sheba Hospital, Tel HaShomer.

His main fields of practice: General cardiology, ischemic heart disease, valve diseases including aortal, mitral, and tricuspid valves, subcutaneous (non-surgical) interventions in a variety of heart diseases.

Prof. Dov Freimark

Prof. Dov Freimark has been selected for five straight years by Forbes Magazine as one of the best cardiologists in Israel.

Graduated summa cum laude from Ben Gurion University in the Negev.

 

Specialized in internal medicine and cardiology from 1983-1991.

 

In 1993-1994 he specialized in heart failure and heart transplants at Cedars Sinai Hospital in Los Angeles.

 

Upon returning to Israel, Prof. Freimark worked as a senior physician at the heart intensive care unit and concurrently established the clinic for heart failure and transplant candidate patients. From 2000-2001 he served as secretary-general of the department of intensive care at the Israeli Cardiological Society. In 1999 he founded the outpatient clinic for severe heart failure patients and took part in writing the recovery program for such patients. From 2005-2007 Prof. Freimark was chosen as head of the department of heart failure in Israel. Prof. Freimark is a faculty member of the Tel Aviv University Medical School, and has published many articles in the professional press in Israel and abroad. He headed the heart failure service at Sheba Hospital from 2000, and upon receiving recognition as an institute, was chosen to remain at the helm since.

Specializing in heart and chest surgery and head of the heart surgery department at the Rambam Medical Center, Haifa. Graduated from the Hebrew University Medical School, and holds a separate Ph.D. on ‘surgical treatments for heart failure’ from Maastricht University in The Netherlands.

Specialized in heart and chest surgery at the Carmel Medical Center in Haifa, in a minimalist approach to repairing and replacing valves in North Carolina, specialized in heart failure surgery, heart transplants, and assist devices at Chicago University, as well as a specialization in atrial fibrillation surgery at Maastricht University in The Netherlands.
